Hi,
It had been a while I didn't go beach diving. But last weekend I went to San Diego and it was really good.
I live in the LA area (Playa del Rey) and want to start diving more often around here. Eighter beach or boat diving. Beach is just cheaper, so it's good.
Do you know any group, club or anybody that I can join for some dives?
I have 70+ logged dives, PADI OWD, AOWD and Wreck specialty certifications.
Please let me know.
Thanks a lot

Ana, Thanks.
Where do you dive? Do you know when you will be diving next?

I live right near you and am always looking for dive buddies. I mostly dive from boats, but am trying ot get into beach diving more often. I am trying to dive somewhere in Malibu on Sat morning. If interested, let me know.

I have about the same experience level as you do.

Of course, any scubaboarders (is that a word??) are welcome to join in. I f I get any interest, we will work out a time and location. I am limited to Malibu becuase my sister's wedding is that afternoon and I have to stay close to home. We would also have to meet no later that 7:30 and be in the water by 8.

Everything you need to know about beach diving

http://www.sandeaters.org The Sand Eaters is little more than a
scheduling organization. It's sole purpose is to
schedule a Sunday morning beach dive and notify those
who have requested to be on the list. The Sand Eaters
and it's members are not responsible for you, your
equipment, your being teamed up with another diver,
or your safety. You and you alone are solely
responsible for your diving activities!

Your participation is voluntary. You are the only
one who decides whether you dive. The Sand Eaters make
no claim to the suitability of the location and are
not responsible for dive conditions. Conditions change
and there will be occasions where a chosen location
will not be suitable for diving upon arriving
at the site.

Sandeaters is not a club, no dues, no officers. But you will get wet every week or more often as we often send out notes to the people on the e-mail list to set up dives on other days. Example, I am diving Christmass Tree Cove tonight at 7:00 p.m. because a sandeater sent out an e-mail wanting to dive.

Or you can just call me. I dive every week (wife would argue that diving last Friday, Saturday, Monday and today is more than once a week. But hey, Saturday and Wednesday are night dives and they don't count).

Dazedone, would you make it on sunday instead of saturday?
I might be able on Sat, but I don't know yet.
Did you dive on malibu before?
Do you plan 1 or 2 dives?

Thanks

I'd join you, but I'm already set to try Laguna this weekend. But in the future, if anyone wants to dive on the weekends I'm always up for it (if schedule permits). Just PM me. And as I mentioned before, I'll be taking the ferry to Catalina the following weekend (Aug. 14 or 15) to dive at the Casino, so if anyone is interested, all are welcome.

This weekend I will be diving Laguna most likely.....I was thinking about going to Laguna on Sunday once again if plans get confirmed you can join me there to dive

I have been diving lots of places arpund our coast divebrasil.... I live close to you and I think Malibu is a very pretty place to dive although the waves can be killer sometimes.....

I am either going to La Jolla Shores or somewhere in Laguna on Sunday. I really love Crecent Bay, so maybe there. I can't make definite plans yet, but perhaps tomorrow. Conditions are looking very nice for laguna.
