Today's photos are land ones (4).

When a sugar cane field has matured it is burned to drive the cane down the stalks. Equipment then comes in to haul the cane stalks off to the mill. These cane haulers are monster size vehicles. The mill here on Maui performs the dirtiest part of the refining process. The cane is then shipped to the mainland where it is refined into sugar.

(Take note of the difference of the sky in the photos. Some were taken with a polarizer filter and some were not).
