I'll be taking my wife and possibly a couple friends out for some local beach diving this weekend. We're considering Shaws for early Saturday morning, but the OW class crowds may turn us off that idea.

We're doing Malaga Cove on Sunday, other than that we open to diving anywhere in LA area.

I want to try night diving with some experienced people. If anyone is doing Veterans Park in Redondo, Friday or Saturday night let me know.

Thanks.

Go next door to Crescent Bay just to the north of Shaws Cove. Good diving, restroom, shower, lots of reef structure. At that site you can dive Deadmans Reef, where a Mola Mola was spotted last Sunday, or Seal Rock. Be on the lookout for eels, sea lions, and Mola Mola

Montage Resort is good too: restooms, showers, parking garage. There is a long walk on a flat paved path to the dive site and then the usual Laguna Beach stairs.

Oh to heck with it. Just about any place in Laguan Beach is good.

See http://www.sandeaters.org dive sites for a list and description of local dive sites. There is a world to choose form from Malibu to Palos Verde, to Laguna Beach.

The old Marine Land site (Long Point) is good to, enter off the rocks or pebble beach. A file fish was recently spotted here. Lots of reef structure in close to shore.
