Anyone up for a dive this weekend? Saturday, Sunday, whenever. LA/Laguna area, or even the Casino...

My dive club is going to be diving White's Point on Sunday morning, so that's where I'll be.
If anyone wants to join us - the more the merrier (club membership is not required). We're meeting at the parking lot of the Brea Sport Chalet at 7:00am to carpool, with plans to be at the beach and ready to dive at 9:00. If anyone wants information on the site, Pacific Wilderness has a good description and directions under their dive sites listing on their website.
Hope to see you there!

SOCDC will be diving Saturday and Sunday mornings. They meet up at the Laguna Hills Mall at 7:30am and leave by 7:45am SHARP for Laguna. They meet in the parking lot between Kings Fish House and Macy's. Great group of people to dive with, also, a great opportunity to dive various spots. They also meet at the mall in order to 'car pool' so that they can possibly dive areas where parking may be a premium such as Moss or Woods.

I would be there myself, however, I am assisting with a OW class on Saturday morning (Shaw's Cove) bright and EARLY, then I am DM ing on the Mr. C to Catalina on Sunday.

I would be up to diving Monday or Tuesday afternoon, early evening. Two tanks???

Thanks, Jan. Actually, I believe I dove with that group, and you in particular, a few weeks ago when we went to Crescent Bay and Deadman's Reef. Good group. I hear that you were getting over 20 people on a Saturday recently.

Looks like some 4-5 ft. swells coming in this morning. Though I heard that the viz at Woods Cove yesterday was around 20+ ft.

Interested to see what today holds

Geez, the incoming swells are getting bigger. Now they're 5-6 feet. Batten down the hatches.

Jim,
I was thinking about trying to dive malibu sunday morning, but with the swell the way it is, I'm not so sure. I'm actually going to be driving through Malibu saturday evening so I am going to stop and take a look at conditions and decide the night before. If that sounds OK with you, then PM me a number where I can reach you sat night and we will pick a spot in malibu.

Good Lord...Every hour the swell model increases. Now it's 6-7 ft. swells coming from the northwest (?). I wonder if it's legit. May be a boogieboarding/surfing weekend instead of diving.
