Just got back from meeting the group at Corona Del Mar. Dive called on account of BIG surf. Set's were 6-8 ft. walls, coming in directly from the south. Not even good for boogieboarding. Looks like Hurricane Howard is finally here.

Though I was just looking at the swell model, and it's still showing 1-2 ft. swells off the coast. Forecasters must be off barbequeing with Mom.

Anyway, got a chance to meet Stacy, Jef from Sandeaters, ScotM, and a bunch of other folks. Hopefully tomorrow at Crescent Bay will be better, as the surf is supposed to die down. Anyone who wants to join us is welcome. Most folks will be getting there around 6:00-6:30am.

I crossed the SP Channel this afternoon. While there's definitely a swell from the South going on, it was nowhere near 8 ft. 4, maybe 5 ft, max., about 1 minute + apart. SoCal's good. Now, LoCal is another story...
