Me and my girlfriend Linda are just back from Venezuela. We have been diving in Mochima national park near the city of Puerto la Cruz. The city itself is nice place to stay(hotel Maremares)and diving in national park was fantastic - lots of fish( moray eels etc.) and different underwater life forms. There is beautiful dive in caverns ad lots and lots of stuff to see under and above the water( including iguana lizards on one of the islands). I would like to recommend the local dive center Aquatic Adventures run by American lady Virginia (http://www.aquaticadven.com) private e-mail:icalf@telcel.net.ve.
Diving conditions: water rather cold - about 21-23 C in Feb. Visibility in some places was not the best but it was due to the large amounts of plankton which was the excellent fiesta for the variety of fish - we saw one particular school of fish containing I even do not know - a hundreds of thousands or maybe more fish - it was like a wall, or a cloud covering the light above you - amazing.
People, go and see Venezuela
