Why wouldn't something as simple as a Z-Knife be "more" DIR than the sawed off steak knife?

A lot of people put a Z-knife on the goodman handle or in the pocket. I personally have shears where the knife is supposed to go because I think it's a more valuable tool where I live. If you want to dive with a Zknife, I don't think anyone is going to chastize you for it.

A z-knife is cool, but you can't cut anything other than thin line with it. Cabling, thick braided rope, etc, can't be cut so well with a z-knife.
