I'm looking for someone to dive with that can show me the basics of spearfishing. Anyone out there? Also interested in any trips to the gulf this year.

If you want to take a class, I think Jerry at Scuba Houston teaches one through SSI. I haven't taken it, but I've sure thought about it. Mainly, I've been too cheap, and I've been learning on my own with some guidance from other spearos. But I suspect it would be a good class.
