I've taught several classes in the Dallas & Austin area and I know that Dave Sweetin has taught several classes in the Houston area. Texas is growing with respect to DIR and guys like Chris Ellis, Don Champlin & Walter Hokanson et. al. are very active in putting together weekly practice sessions and recreational dive trips in the local area. I took the DIR-f class in early April here in Houston. Dave Sweetin and Tyler Moon were the instructors.

Have you been to Scubatoys.com off of I-35 in Dallas? I have noticed that they have created a tech section in the store. They also have a DIR guy that works there now.
