Just thought it best to start a seperate thread on this one as it is kind of swallowed up last weekend's one.

So who is up for some wet toothy stuff down around Venice? Chuck seemed interested, i probably am a go with Becky in tow, might get my roommate to come meet you all, Colin? Jeff? Walter? Fred? Anyone from the SE coast who would like to dive, but might not bother to stay over on that coast due to lack of viz potentially off the shore and now the REEF ID class is postponed?

I need to get wet sometime soon, its going to have been two weeks by this weekend, cant stand it! I also havent been to Venice in a while and definately not to this other beach, Casperson, so far, so would like to check it out if possible.

Who is up for this trip?

I'm game. Though we may want to check to see if Venice beach has been reopened. Also anyone have any vis reports?

Are there still floaters lurking in the surf?

Ok, so how long does the sewage spill normally take to wash out, a few days? Its will have been at least 8-10 days from what i recall hearing of it last week. Still have the back up for Ft Lauderdale, but i dont want to cut the choice much closer than tomorrow afternoon - at least for the boat dive booking.

Here's the problem. These spills occur then you don't find out about it until the paper comes out Saturday morning, if they even bother to report it to post. The paper only comes out 3 days a week, so, its hit or miss as to whether or not the beach is even going to be uncontaiminated, especially since we're not even going to the general public beach.

Do you think Jeanne might have eaten the poo? If not would the stinky stuff make it's way down to Casperson?

Where is Casperson beach anyway?

So, Venice Ave down, take a left at the last light and south to Harbor?
