Hi,
Does any one have any opinions about Suunto's Gekko? As I'm a periodic recreational diver I'm contemplating on getting it. But if there is a better one of similar price range or cheaper, I'd like to read your suggestions.

Had one until I upgraded to the Vytec. Loved it - great starter computer.

There are a lot of thread discussing about Suunto Gekko. I almost bought one, but switch to Vyper, sold on special price .

My friend use one, and it is good enough.

I just bought one. My old SME died I had hoped we would go out together. The Gekko does more than my SME and I used it for 15 years and it did everything I need for it to do. I really didn't want a computer with all the bells and whistles. So the Gekko is perfect. You can also use it if you are Nitrox certified.
