Anyone know the rules on measuring devices for bugs in SoCal? Do you have to carry an "official" store-bought measuring device? Or can you get away with using your 3.25" knife blade, plastic school ruler, or pinky finger??? Any F&G wardens in the group?

You just need an "Approved" measureing tool. So this means a store bought measuring device is needed. They are only $1.99. If you can measure between the eyes, and the guage does not slip over the back of the carapice, it's in the bag for dinner.

Good luck. Kyle

Some dive shops sell kits so that you can attach your gauge to the front of your light and that makes measuring them alot easier.
