Any recommendations (or worse yet warnings) about Cavern/Intro to Cave Instructors in the NE Florida Area. We live in Jax and are considering doing cavern but want to make sure we have a very thorough instructor who is more focused on safety than issuing cards.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

THeres also a bunch of instructors at Ginnie Springs, which makes for a nice overnight trip. I took cavern with Rose Meadows and had a good time.
 
can't go wrong with ginnnie springs.. I was taught there by Reggie Ross. A great experience. If you can spare the time, do cavern and intro together..

I have heard nothing but GREAT stuff about Chick Diver (and not just from Spectre). You might also check out GDI as well.

Do we have any other Cave Instructors on our Board?
 
Lloyd at Lloyd Baileys Scuba has trained more cave divers than anyone else on earth. He's been there and done that. I had a Father in law take his cavern class who said it was demanding but very worthwile. I'm plannign on taking cavern with Lloyd soon.

nothing against chick diver, I'm sure she's good too. She is one of the better posters on this forum.
