Sounds like fun, wish that I could be there! Make sure to let us know how it went! :dazzler1:

It should be a great time. I went by UnderWater Sports today. They are providing a generous bunch of prizes.
Highlights are:
Sea & Sea MX-5II UW camera
UK C8-eLED light (I've tried one on a dive-they actually work quite well in NW waters).
2 UK mini Q40 lights (great small all around lights-good for camera spotting)
Several CETACEA lanyards (the standard for NOT losing your equipment)
Some first aide kits
A nice UK goodie bag-bright yellow
and an assortment of smaller dive "conusmables"
All told this is over $560 prizes.

All this for having a good time.

It all sounds great, except the pumpkin part. I dunno, maybe I'm missing it. I see these every year but I just don't get it. I just imagine myself dragging a pumpkin down, starting to hack away at it, and saying, oh forget it, and just going for a dive. I'm really not big on pumpkin carving an the surface once my kids grew past 12 years old. Can someone explain???

Now Rick don't be a spoiler. It's way more fun if you have a big HID. Cut out the bottom, insert light head and the whole thing glows. Use Uncle Pug's 21 W light you'll have pumkin pie by the time you surface. Anybody can see a plethora of marine life on a dive. After all how many GPO's do you really want to see on a dive?

Now that you mention it, Pug won't be needing that light now that he's a WWW:eyebrow:

Is this event happening again this year?

Yes, next Sunday the 30th at the Alki picnic pavilion. 9 a.m., I think.
