Looking for a little advice on what macro settings most of you people are using. I will be using a 60mm macro lens on a Nikon D70. I only have a single strobe at the moment. What seems to work for most of you?. Any advice about strobe placemants? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me

For single strobe placement, I generally prefer to have the strobe about 8-12 inches above the camera, pointing down a bit. If it is a stationary object, I might move the strobe around a bit more and experiment with angle and shadow.

With 60mm macro lens, I usually start at around F18-22 and shutterspeed around 1/125th, Ikelite DS125 strobe set at about 1/2 power, ISO 200.
