I understand that the newer style Nikonos lenses are designed to work with the TTL light meter on the Nikons V. The old style blocks the meter. Is this correct? If so, how can I tell the difference between the two short of attaching the lens to a Nikonos V and checking to see if the light meter works?

Thanks

Thanks! That answers my question:

If the rear lens element of the 15mm (from the back of the o-ring channel to the end of the lens) is longer than approx. 1/4", it is an old style lens. The rear element of the old-style lens is so long it by-passes the TTL sensor in the Nikonos V, thus rendering it a non-TTL lens.
