Divers’ Ecological Society
After a successful underwater cleanup funded by a 2003 Make a Splash grant, Tacoma resident Desmond "Des" Policani, founder of Divers’ Ecological Society, will use his 2004 grant to provide environmental stewardship programs for divers and beach combers. At six scheduled events, he will train divers and the public about near-shore marine habitat preservation and restoration. Participants will then conduct underwater and on-land debris cleanups. To participate or for more information, you may respond through the feedback page at www.diversecological.5u.com.
