Fl Gulf Coast Dec. 23 '04 - Jan 1 "05

Me and my brother will be in Fl on those dates would like to meet some local spearos. We will probably start in Panama City and work our way down to St Pete at least. Maybe further. I'm looking into a charter to the middle grounds for 2 days Room and Board $350. But if we do that it will have to be near the end of our trip so the fish will be good when we get home.
Would welcome any spearos to join us from anywhere. I am in Greenville Sc , will be driving down. My bother is in Clute TX, near Houston Tx. He will probably be taking a bus down unless he gets a ride.
We are thinking about doing a spring or two and also Manatees. Sorry no spearing freshwater in Fl. Will probably camp for a day or two then stay in a motel for a day or two. Will probably start the trip at St. Andrews State Park in PC, FL.
I have speared since July this year largest fish was a 20-30# Amberjack have also shot a 15-20# Grouper. I have 28 Dives to date deepest being 131'. My brother is just getting certified, and I promised to buy him a speargun as a "Graduation Present" But I will make him get a few dives under his belt before I let him use it. He is 21yrs I'm 37 yrs. Let me know.

I'll be on a charter - Holy Spear-It - from Dec 29 to Jan 1 or so (that weekend) and diving the grounds. They go out of the Madeira Beach area on the Gulf Coast of FL. Might want to check them out, though I think the charter is full that weekend.

Thanks I had already E-mailed him abou that trip but my bro. is not making his mind up fast enough. Yeah I called its full now I will get on a cancelation list though sounds like a nice trip. Have you did it before? Any other suggestions?

Not been on this boat before, but the MG is worth doing! There's a couple of others that do MG charters - jollyrogersii.com goes out of Steinahatchee (further north) as well as Chad Carney (he's a member here on SB) also does a few charters/instruction also. Narcosis Scuba might also do some too. Might try posting this ? on www.spearboard.com also and see the replies - lots of them live in the West coast of Fl and might hook you up
