Hello Out there!

I'm visiting NY from England this weekend and would like to invest in a good digital camera complete with underwater casing. As NY is unfamiliar to me, has anyone any tips on which stores to check out and if I'll get a good deal from any particular place. It seems that the pound is quite strong against the dollar, so I'm hoping to bag a good bargain

Thanks everyone

Might be worth checking some on-line prices.. http://www.digitaldepot.co.uk will give you a good benchmark for UK prices as they are pretty competitive.. i purchased a Canon IXUS500 with housing from there..Another good site is http://www.pricerunner.co.uk .. you can then really tell how good the exchange rate is working for you

Cheers

I bought an Olympus from them and had good service and quick shipping, they are located in NYC - so shipping may not be a concern for you.

Most of the NYC photo shops are Jewish owned, some are closed on Saturday and open all day Sunday. Check with the store hours first. B and H photo has a nice large display so you may be able to feel the products. Most of the time they stock the items. I really go there for the used equipment, 35mm and med. format.
