When using doubles without a separate argon bottle:

1. do you connect the drysuit inflator hose to the left post regulator (the pressure gauge reg.)?

2. do you route the hose under the left shoulder strap (pressure gauge side) or across the manifold and under the right shoulder strap?

3. with mk 25 1st stages,do you use the side (pivoting ports) or the bottom port for the drysuit inflator hose?

Thanks.

I can't speak on the MK25 issue, but DIR calls for the drysuit inflator to be off the left post, because the right post inflates your wing. It goes under the left shoulder strap.

Long enough to work.

On my left post I turn my Mk25 on it's side pointing towards the isolator, run the HP hose straight down, backup reg out of the bottom and drysuit off one of the radial ports (when diving dry).

Does anyone have their inflater valve located on their hip? I dive a BP and Wings and wondered if this might be a better location for the inflater valve. The inflater hose would then be routed down your back.

No, it's not a better place. It would interfere with stage/deco tank and restrict the access to the pockets. Those are the first two things that crossed my mind. DS hose is used to inflate close circuit lift bag, so it has to be easily accessible.

God no. Read all you can about the DIR equipment configuration. It's very specific.

...and very cool.
