Hi

i wanted a wrist mounted deth gauge and annoyingly i could only find ones that fitted onto consols.

To be honest i havent looked very hard and my LDS definatly doesent do them so any help would be helpful...

i have looked at a few websites and still havent found any, all i want is an analouge wrist mounted Depth gauge.

Vie:
Unfortunately, the good old-fashion all-metal analogue wrist mounted depth gauge is extremely hard to find now. I came across this (see below), but have no idea whether it is a good depth gauge.

looks good except its in feet, i dont do feet. ill probably have a look around the LIDS which is comeing up soon,

Wouldn't most of the cosole depth gauges (if removable) also fit into a standard wrist boot?

If you already have a depth gauge mounted in a console, you may only need a wrist boot to convert it. I have seen those on some websites. They run $12-$15 US.

i've seen (but now can't find) someone who removed a depth gauge from a
console, and then rigged up a "strap" out of velcro. looked very nice, and
functional.

thanks guys uve all been helpful, im not really looking for electronic, simplyscuba if offline at the mo but i dont think they do them and thats true to most shops. Ill have alook about seing if i can take one out a console boot and DIY Bodge it.

See if you can find one of the old "capilary" Scubapro wrist depth gauges.
if not Scubapro then Dacor or aqualung as they made them also.

I've got one and it is very light weight and thin.

It's maybe 1/4" thick and 2.5" in diameter and in a watch type
rubber wrist mount. Since it's so thin and light you don't notice
it on your wrist (though I hardly use it). I'd say it's from the
1970's before depth gauges became 'standard' as being included
with the console.

Check this one out for $15bucks US: ( I know it's in feet, but I don't do meters)

or this Scubapro one for $4

Another for $9

I looked on http://www.ebay.co.uk/ for one in England, but they don't
have much scuba stuff and no wrist mounted depth gauges that I found.

Hope that all helps some.

To my knowledge there are no analog quality depth guages being made today for wrist wearing. There are very few being made at all. It is a real shame too. Fortunately, you can purchase them from Ebay. Be selective and look for USD, Voit, and ScubaPro. Also, while they are plastic, the Oceanic and Tekna wrist mounted depth guages are among the most accurate ever made and are reliable.
I have a huge collection, none are for sell, here is a pic of a few of them, and yes, I dive analog!!!!!!!!!!! N
