Hi Everyone!

I just joined this site and this is my first post. Wasn't sure which forum to post to so I'm taking a shot in the dark. I am moving to Ketchikan, Alaska in May. Looking for information on dive sites and shops in the area. Would also like to chat with some divers in that area and maybe get together for some diving when I get there. Any info you guys can provide would be great! Thanks!

Hi Brad, Ketchikan has a couple dive shops, the best one (IMO) is:
http://www.wind-water.org/
The owners are nice folks, you can get air/nitrox/trimix, they have good basic and tech classes, and can talk to you regarding a drysuit choice. Ketchikan has a few good shore diving sites but you really have an unlimited number of choices with a boat! Ketchikan is almost as nice as Wrangell in regards to diving

Have a good trip up north,

Poog

Poog,

Thanks for the info. I will check them out when I get there. Glad to hear I'm moving to a place that has some pretty good dive sites.

Thanks again,

Brad

If you get bored in KTN, You can always come up to Juneau and dive the wrecks with us.
If people only knew about our wrecks they'd be swarming here.

Sounds great! If I make it up to Juneau I will definitely stop in. :)
