Just a personal note. I was on this vessel in May/June '04 and I have already reserved a spot on this trip. I offered to post this (flyer) for Mr. Larrry McKenna and his wife Bonnie** who are "hosting" this trip. The negotiated group rate is a direct booking without surcharges. This is a first class operation and the itinerary for this particular trip is one that was personally developed by Mr. McKenna.

Vessel departs from and returns to Sorong, Irian Jaya, Indonesia. This area (Eastern Indonesia) was not impacted by the recent catastrophic earthquake/tsunami in Western Indonesia.

Departure & Return Location: Sorong, Irian Jaya, Indonesia

Dive Plan:
• Sail East from Sorong along the Vogelskopf to the area of Jamursba-Medi, Sansapor and Wewe-Koor Nature Reserves to the Leatherback Turtle nesting and breeding areas. (weather dependent)

• Visit the islands of Middleburg and Mios Su in search of WWII aircraft and Navy support boats. (Both islands were major airbases in Mac Arthur’s campaign to reach the Philippines)

• Sail West to the northern islands of the Raja Empats (west and northwest of Waigeo Island). Wobbegongs, Nudibranchs, Ghost Pipefish, Mantas, Pygmy Seahorses and more await the observant eye.

Price: $2800 and includes NITROX, (excludes air travel, dive gratuities and port fees). Currently airfare from US to Bali is about $1000 (more or less).

MAXIMUM 12 DIVERS in 6 staterooms. All staterooms have individual a/c controls and private head/shower. LAUNDRY IS INCLUDED!

** This trip will be hosted by Bonnie and Larry McKenna of Kingwood, TX. Both have extensive knowledge of diving in this area of the world. Bonnie is a digital still photographer. Larry is a digital videographer. Each is a published and internationally acclaimed media artist.
