If you have to replace the straps anyways then why don't you invest in some spring straps. I'm sure someone will be along shortly to help you find a source.

Straps are easy to get, but I agree with Diver0001. Get spring straps instead! I think Boogie sells 'em doesn't he?

A friend has offered to sell me his Jet fins, however one of the straps is busted (open heel).

Question is, how difficult is it to get a replacement strap for these?
But like Diver0001 said, you don't want straps. You want springs.

Get'em from Boogie for sure (Boogie on this board), Tobin (coolhardware52 - I think)(also on this board), or Larry:

Tobin doesn't sell them afterall, but his site is still informative and he offers innovative stuff:

any scubapro dealer should have them in stock, and any dealer that sells rocket fins or any other clone for that matter.

Yup - just ask someone with Spring straps :D - I think I have 14 straps laying around from when I converted all my "loaner" Jet fins to "bungee" spring straps - which is a temp solution if you want to try Spring straps before buying... (though SS springs are a better solution imo, just a lot more expensive)

Aloha, Tim

P.S. I'm just holding onto the old ones in the hopes that someone will need them... interested in a couple?

you have 7 pairs of jet fins?

umm well ... yeah... I take a lot of kids snorkeling so I have 2 med. pair, 1 Large, 1 XL, 1 XXL (that I wear) and a pair of "Turtles" - oops that's only 6 ... I guess I miss-counted earlier. I got a really good price on them (except my XXLs' - the first pair I bought at the LDS) and loan them out to lots of divers and snorkelers. Though I have 2 more sets of compatible straps from other people's fins  It's terrible being a pack-rat sometimes... I just gotta get rid of some of this "stuff"

Aloha, Tim

P.S. too bad they don't have them in my dog's size ... or maybe that's a good thing :D
