Greetings to all fellow divers and hunters! I have been a fish out of water for quite a few years now, having moved from the coast of Connecticut to the desert area of Eastern Washington, and now reside in the Seattle area. In my early teens I acquired a Nemrod Gaucho Weekend break-down speargun (imported from Spain) that served me well up until recently, when a hit fish swam off into murky water with my shaft after the line broke. I have searched everywhere, but can't seem to find a replacement. I hate to retire the gun just because I can't locate a replacement shaft. If anyone can offer suggestions as to how to get up and running again, it would be most appreciated. I don't know if the company went out of business, or if they were bought out and are still selling under a new name.

Thanks

You should contact Ray Odor in Tampa. I don't think there is a shaft out there that Ray doesn't make, including custom work. His website is:

No experience needed and it feels great!

Ray O. and B&B make spears with 6mm male threads on both ends. I used to carry them and adapters for most all pneumatics, including Nemrod, when I managed Tackle Shack Watersports. They probably still have some. Call 800-537-6099 and ask for Jimmy.

Thanks for the information. I will check out his site and see what he can do to get me up and shooting....

Something most of us explore without so much of a thought as to how lucky we are to behold this liquid realm, and the diversity of life that thrives within.
