Hi everyone,

I was out diving yesterday with SOCDC and thought I spotted a JV Maco Shark. I have searched for a photo without sucess. Anyone have a link? Initially, the group thought it might have been a Blue but...it was too silvery and faster than lightning!

Thanks.

Good find, Jan. I've always wanted to see one. I saw a show on the Discovery Channel once about Makos. The had bait(tuna) tied to the stern of a speed boat with a camera facing to the rear. As they reached their speed, which I can't remember, but it was fast, a Mako would charge full speed and take the bait. It was amazing how fast they move in short bursts. You were very lucky to see one.
