Oceanic Computer on a retractor?

Hi all,

Does anyone know if there's a retractor made for either the Oceanic Veo 180 or 250 (or even the Versa Pro)? I wanted to buy an inexpensive backup to my Pro Plus 2 to dive with while on a long trip so in case something happened to one, I could switch to the other (don't want to miss out on any diving!). I've seen some retractors for the more expensive ones, but what I guess I'm looking for is a secure retractor that would take the veo 180/250 as a module. I haven't seen either computer, so I don't know if there are any attachment points on it.

Edit: Or even if anyone can point me to a single gauge boot that I can attach my own retractor to (not a hose boot).

I had the retractor for my VT Pro, and it also fits the Versa Pro since they are the same body. Worked nice anough, as advertised...A little expensive I thought...

Aeris makes a real nice retractor that fits on the elite, the atmos 1 or the atmos 2. The Atmos 2 wrist computer would run about 289 with the retractor being about another 35 bucks... Don't know if that hits your budget.

Have you considered buying a wrist boot for the veo? $20 for the boot if you already have the computer.

I was hoping to stay with Oceanic because of my familiarity with their computers (settings, etc.) as well as having identical algorithms so that if one fails I can just pick up from exactly where I was before. I figure spending a couple of hundred bucks on a backup computer would be better than wasting a couple of hundred bucks if I have to miss a day of diving because of a failure on a solo unit. Thank you, though, for your suggestions.

I was hoping to avoid using a wrist boot. My hope was that it would be a "put it on a D-ring on my BC and forget it" kind of setup (besides, of course, programming in F02)where I didn't have to worry about strapping it onto my wrist, etc. But thanks for thought. :)

We sell both the Aeris and Oceanic... and since they are really the same company, the algorithms, programming, settings... everything is identical. Just minor cosmetic differences... just so you know!

I found that the retractor spring is not enough to pull the asasembly in. What I have switched to is a coiled spring rig that can also be clipped off to mak it short for water entry or exit and extended to the proper length for viewing. I hop ehtt this helps.
