Hi, my wife and I will be traveling to Cairns in September. She is not a diver and does not want to be out on a live aboard for 3 nights, so we compramised to try and find a 1 night liveaboard going out to the Great Barrier Reef. Does anyone have suggestions for a 1 night liveaboard?

Thanks!

Not many boats do one night liveaboards - I know Reef Encounter does one day stunts on the reef but you might have to helicopter it out to the boat - so its not cheap

Check out http://www.underwater.com.au for a comprehensive list of liveaboards out of Cairns.

Reef Encounter in particlular is described here

Hope that helps.

Kangaroo Explorer, Ocean Quest, Reef Encounter, Rum Runner all do 2day/1 night diving with out helicopter expenses.

Have done them all about 5 times each at least. All very different in Reef, styles, accommodation and transfer boats.

2 day/ 1 night excursions norm include 6 or 5 dives. Morning dive always the best.
