I'm heading to Anthoy's Key this weekend and was wondering about alcohol. A couple of divers here I know said they brought a bottle with them from home and made some of their own drink to cut some cost. Is it legal to bring alcohol on the plane? How much do drinks cost at AKR, it would be a lot easier just to buy them there.

You are not supposed to take liquor on the plane (even though MANY people do) and certainly not in the cabin. Two options to consider: 1) Get what you need from the duty free shop as you leave, or 2) Get something when you arrive on the island at a local shop - the prices are fairly reasonable. Since you are going to the West End, it might be easier to get the stuff from the Duty Free. The prices for drinks at the bar are typical of any bar - a lot higher than you pay yourself, but lower than you would pay in a bar in the States.
