good places to dive in ca

hi i live in california in a town called agoura hills it is next to calabasas and thousand oaks, it is about twenty minutes from malibu i was wondering if anyone could tell me of good shore dives or charters from around their

I'm only getting my certification now, but I heard about a dive site off the Channel Islands in Ventura where there are sea lions who will swim with you as you dive!! I think that would be an incredible experience and hope to dive there after I'm certified!

Hey Flamebug there's good beach diving down in Malibu and around Ventura. Out of Ventura there is the Peace and the Spectre, both good dive boats.

I'd recommend coming by the California Kelp Diver's Forum. To find it its in these sections on scubaboard.

Not all the locals always check the Beginning Divers forum but if you come by the Socal section, there's lots of us that are doing a lot of diving and you might even find a buddy if you want one.

www.sandeaters.org dive sites will be a good place. The also have a dive scheduled for every Sunday. Not a club, just a webiite with a schedule.

I will be diving in Malibu some time this weekend I think.
