I started a new thread ("Term Limits" on Certifications) on this board which was initiated by that incident. It offers some of what I've heard from local dive professionals, witnesses, etc.
Just read that post. Very interesting that the eye witnesses paint quite a different picture than what I've heard. From their posts it appears that the two were experienced divers. I heard on-island that they had not been diving in a while and came out to Catalina to practice their skills prior to a dive trip.
Will be interesting to see what filters out through the investigation.
