maybe someone got some information about the solomon islands.
When is the best time for big fish action, especially sharks? Do they have a special season e.g. hammerheads like they have on Rangiroa or at some Red Sea Reefs?
Any recommendations for pelagic fish dive sites?
Maybe the best thing to do is email a couple of the operators and ask them. When I was in the Solomons at Tulagi there was only one dive site we went to that had sharks. It was a dive called Twin Tunnels and the reef started at about 20m. On the edge of the reef was a wall that dropped down to about 70m. You could hang out at the edge of the wall and watch the sharks cruise by, but what made this dive so spectacular is that there are two lava tunnels that drop down to 40m. You descend through the tunnels and come out on the wall at 40m where there are more sharks and then you gradually make your way back up the wall to the top of the reef. It's a spectacular dive.
