Hi

Just 5 hours driving north of Sydney, there is an amazingly
exciting place called South West Rocks. 1km out to sea is a small island (25m square on the surface)that just happens to be the southern hemispheres largest underwater cave, 120m long.
The opening to the cave is at 24m in depth. Its shrouded by thousands of Bullseyes, and as you approach they slowly move out of your way, to let you through. As you enter the tunnel you will be confronted by a large (2m) Wobbegong Shark resting on the bottom. 20m into the tunnel, you rise through a chimney, that takes you into the main cave chamber at 5m.
The walls of the cave are peppered by cowrie shells, and there are painted crayfish everywhere.
Its then that you see the exit 100m in front. Blue water rushes past the exit showering the cave in an amazing blue light. Silhoutte'd against the blue are thousands of Bullseyes, and between 10 and 30 Grey Nurse Sharks. A truely breathtaking site.
I have also seen Bronze whalers at the exit and the odd Hammerhead. If anyone comes over here, I'll take you.
Regards
Hocky
