    Hi

We live just north of the city and want to join a club in the area so that we can do some local trips and meet some like minded people. Any suggestions?
    thanks

The University of Queensland has a dive club, and I'm pretty sure it's open to everyone, not just students.

I live in Brisbane but dive with a club on the Gold Coast. Devocean have an open policy with their shore dives. if they are instructing, you can come along and dive. They do a LOT of dive travel, both in Australia and abroad plus all the day trips you can imagine.

    Hi Jo,
Depending on certification level- AOW CERT- this club is the premier club for Brisbane for already competent divers, also the closest to you, run out of vmr at shorncliffe.
It dives sites the others don't, I know because I get suprised to see them out at certain sites.

check it out, I say this unbias, I am not a member, I dive my own boat......
