I'll be in Australia in Feb and would like to dive at these locations/sites. I only have one day to dive at each place so a liveaboard isn't possible. I'd appreciate any recommendations for day trip operators. I've previously gone with Great Adventures in Cairns, but thought I might try someone else this time. Thanks for the help!

If you can spare a stop in Shellharbour, I promise you won't be disappointed! Get in touch with the team at Shellharbour Scuba Centre (http://www.shellharbourscuba.com.au) - dive Bass Point! I've dive a lot at both Jervis Bay and Bass Point and whilst they are different Eco systems, I personally think in terms of bangs for your bar/psi, Bass Point has it over Jervis Bay.

In terms of who to dive with in Jervis Bay, I've been happy with "Dive Jervis Bay" (http://www.divejervisbay.com). Good boats, good dive masters and a friendly outfit.

If you decide to come see Bass Point, ask for James...I'd be happy to buddy with you :)

Posting from my iPad, please excuse unfortunate iCorrects.

I can help for Cairns. Great Adventures is more set up for families and you pay for a lot of things you may not want (glass bottom boats etc.

For a dedicated dive boat you can’t beat Tusa. New, great service, great sites and offing 3 dives for the price of 2. Guides optional.
Silverswift very similar and guides included.

There are cheaper like Sea Quest etc but these are transfer vessels so as long as you don’t mind a lot of people on the boat it’s a very cost effective trip.

Unless it is on a weekend, unlikely to get a dive in Jervis Bay. HMAS Adelaide try Pro Dive Central Coast or Terrigal Underwater Centre. On a weekday you might get a dive there, but not guaranteed.
