Hi, All!

We are family of four licensed divers. Plans for this year are to take cruise to Bahamas, and on May 28 from 7:00 AM until late in the night we are supposed to be in Nassau. My wife dove there previous time and was absolutely ecstatic about the experience she got from Custom Aquatics. I can see now their web site - Bahamas Diving - Custom Dive Charters in Exuma and Nassau Bahamas, but they do not reply to my messages - does anyone knows if they still are in business?

Alternatively, what will be good dive shop to arrange diving for four on that date? We would like to try some wall diving, shark experience, but bottom line we'll listen what local divers will suggest.... :)

Any suggestions will be highly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Your choices are Stuart Coves, Bahama Divers or Explore Scuba.

My choice for closest like Custom Aquatics would be Explore. They have two boats and do 1/2 or full day charters. Even out to the Exumas. They also have full-day/half-day private charter pricing. Services | Explore Scuba Bahamas is the only dive operator located right on Paradise Island The Bahamas, we offer that one of a kind experience. I have no personal experience with them - I'm not local either, I live in the states.

Coves and Bahama Divers are more the typical 2-tank local trips. Cove's handles the regular cruise traffic also.

Thanks, diversteve! I am now trying to connect Explore Scuba - hope they'll respond!

2 thumbs up for explore scuba, Recommend David Tucker wreck! Make sure to have them give you some "scuba juice" for your safety stops :D

You want to dive on the South of Nassau, much better than the North. You have reef, walls, wrecks and sharks. Stuart Cove is used to dealing with the cruise ship traffic and has a well oiled machine. It may be cattle boat diving, but then that's what you are likey to get diving off a cruise ship.
Fran and Monty ran a great operation when I lived there, but not sure they are still operating or not. If people do not respond to your emails, rather not book with them. Don't want to be left at the dock. :) Fran and Monty used to specialise more in the Exuma trips than local diving. (There dive business is called Custom Aquatics)
Bahama Divers is nice and close, but the dive sites they visit are all on the North of the Island.
I do not know anything about Explore Scuba.
