I just received the following e-mail:

Hi Bob,
Just wanted to let you know that we have revised the NOAA Dive CD. We included an errata from NOAA and we removed the encryption.
I think you will find this much more to your satisfaction. Order number is PB2002-500068.
If you do order this CD and find it useful and user friendly, I would appreciate it if you would let other divers know.
-------------- end quoted text.
As some of you know, the previous NOAA Diving Manual on CD had such good encryption that it kept many people from actually being able to run the CD.
A list price of $89 at first may seem expensive, but when you consider that the Manual is the single best source of dive info on the planet, you realize that it's a bargian.
For those of you that have purchased hardcopy, here is an online source to download the errata (list of error corrections) that have been published:

More info on the new revised user friendly CD may be found on the NTIS website: http://www.ntis.gov/search/product.asp?ABBR=PB2002500068&starDB=GRAHIST
