Has anyone heard anymore about the U.S.S. Forrestal being sunk as a reef?

There’s talk about sinking it at Emerald Bay in Lake Tahoe.

It's being prepped for deepwater sinking. Too deep for recreational divers, anyway.

This was mentioned in an earlier thread, it is being sunk deep because of some hull features that are still classified. It is supposed to be deeper than technical and recreational divers can go.

From wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Forrestal
The Navy removed the ship from donation hold in 2004 and redesignated it for disposal. According to the NVR, her final status is "donated for use as fishing reef." The ship is currently being environmentally prepared for sinking as an artificial reef. Due to elements of the "Forrestal" design having led directly to current aircraft carrier design, the ship will be donated to a State and sunk in a deep water reef, for fishery propagation, so that it is inaccessable to divers. The date for the sinking has not yet been announced.
