Just wanted to see how many people on this forum reads Diver Magazine...

It's billed as North America's longest-established scuba diving magazine and I recently subscribed to it. It's published by Phil Nuytten - a personal hero of mine.

(oh - and the new issue, Jan-Feb 2007, just happens to review my novel - so that's not to bad either...)

John

I've been a subscriber for about 15 years and have also had a couple of articles published in it. It used to be a pretty good quick read with an emphasis on West Coast diving but since Phil Nuytten took over it's become a very good publication with a more worldly scope. He did a very good job in ramping up the quality. My renewal just came in the mail and I'll be signing up for another 3 years.

I usually pick up a couple of their issues a year. It's a pretty good publication.

Cheers.

I've picked it up a few times at Borders..decent articles throughout.

Good articles, well written. A nice break from the travel brochures that many other dive magazines seem to tend towards.

Here is the link for the one free trial copy

Here is what they say:

Please Note: We are certain you will enjoy your free copy of DIVER MAGAZINE and after you receive the magazine we will send you a renewal notice (a convenient and efficient method of inviting you to subscribe) -- this is for you to use only if you wish to subscribe. There is no obligation to do so and if you do not wish to subscribe please ignore the follow up notice/s. Thank you.

Thanks

Why can't I find a website for this magazine anymore? Every time I try to connect I get "page not found"!

http://www.divermag.com seemed to be thriving just several months ago and their Facebook pages give no indication of problems.

I get a somewhat different message:
[h=1]Bandwidth Limit Exceeded[/h] The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later.

I pick one up for free from my local dive shop once every month or three.

I read it every month.
