XS Scuba Buyers Guide is Interesting Reading..........

XS Scuba - OceanMaster? What Gives?

I just downloaded the new XS Scuba 2007 Buyers Guide and started reading. They have an interesting array of new products. But one product line in particular REALLY caught my eye. They have a line of masks and snorkels coming in May called the M-Line. As I looked at the pictures, they look EXACTLY like the OceanMaster line of masks.....not some of them! All of them. The dry snorkel is the same situation. Then I looked up the patent numbers they list for the mask and snorkel attributes and guess what........they are the same patent numbers as.......you guessed it!

    So XSScuba..........what's up?

I know this line of masks has had a very loyal following. If this is the real deal, a lot of consumers are going to be very happy. Anyway, maybe i'm wrong, but looks like a takeover to me. Thanks.

My initial thought would be a product licensing agreemnt between the companies...

Definately good news. I haven't donwloaded my 2007 list yet but I was an Ocean Master dealer and haven't been able to get any masks since November 2005 and everytime I would call them and ask what was going on they would say they would be shipping in "a couple of months".

Just downloaded it. Sure looks like the Ocean Master line. Even the M-line logo looks like an O with an M in it. Can you say Ocean Master. Z Duo(2) V3 (View 3) Z Quad(4)

NEW - XS Scuba M-LINE masks and snorkels

Yep, all of it is the real McCoy. Same factory, same people, same tooling, same quality materials, same, same, same... The first container will deliver early in May.

The quality products from XS keep coming!!

My first mask was a OM and I still have it. Don't dive it since I got my Cressi Matrix but I do use it for snorkeling.

Rick, years ago, I got my kicks in a variety of ways. Now I am just a boring old guy that sells scuba equipment. These days, when I am not working 80 hours a week at Dive Sports, I spend my spare time sleeping, reading court decisions, and scanning supplier catalogs. Wow, I didn't even realize how boring I have become. Thanks. lol

    Hey Phil:

Dang, I talked to you on the phone the other day and didn't even know it! I was the one that ordered the 40 CFT brushed cylinder, pressure guage and 3 stage bottle rigs from you on Thursday!

    Nice service, BTW...

    See ya..

    Mike,

It all looks great. I'll be trying out my new Fusion Purge mask next month. Consider a future offering blending your Gauge Reader mask features with your new Fusion Low Volume Purge mask features for us boomers who like a purge option, and who's lens prescription changes enough year to year to make prescription lenses a PITA.

I hope XS Scuba continues to be a successful venture - you're clearly paying attention to your customer base and core business, all good signes!

    re: XS SCUBA MASK

    Hey WWD,
Good idea. I was just on Skype with the guys in Thailand. So, I have them making up a sample of the new MA215 Fusion Low Volume Purge Mask with the Gauge Reader positive diopters lenses added. All black with black silicone skirt. Send me a PM is about 60 days I should have the sample by then. You can be the first to test dive it (after me). I appreciate the good words for XS Scuba.
