medic13 once bubbled...
.. I have ordered
The Fundamentals of Better Diving

That's awesome, I just ordered my copy today as well.
The entire process intrigues me, and I can't wait to learn more.

Great book!

That is what I found too. The book reads well and doesn't force anything down your throat.

There is no rocket science in there but it is pretty informative and a good starting point.

I just ordered teh Fundamentals Manual as well. Also got a contact for a class locally. Looking forward to a challenge.

It is a great book. I have read it about 10 times already. As a matter of fact, it is sitting here on my desk at work so I can read it again if I get bored.

When you get done with that, take a look at The Fundamentals of Technical Diving.
Even if your not a Tech diver, the Planning and Proceedures Section is a great referance.
It also gives you a very good grounding of gas mixes.

I refer back to it at LEAST once a week.
