Human Errors

Hi diving enthusiasts,

I'm a graduate student at California State University, Northridge studying human factors (a field in psychology that's concerned with adapting design principles with human cognitive abilities and ergonomics).

For a project, I'm taking on studying the human errors involved in diving. This area is of interest because of its unique closed environment situation - there is such heavy reliance on your equipment, your preparation, your knowledge, and your partner.

I have a questionaire prepared that I can email any interested divers asking you about your experiences with human errors (it can be you who committed it or a buddy - it does not have to end up in the bends. It can be something seemingly banal and commonplace.

Human factors sets up a blame free system. Everyone makes errors, what caused them?
