When you are planning your nitrox dives, what O2 partial pressure limit do you use in your formula or punch into your computer? PADI says 1.4 ata. What do you think?

1.4 or less during the dive

1.6 max for deco

I stick with 1.4 for the dive, and 1.6 for deco...

Unless they have changed it, NAUI recommends 1.4, not 1.6.

1.6 is for emergency/contingency issues or deco only.

What University is recommending 1.6?

Just picking a PPO2 without specifying a time makes no sense.

1.4 for 75 minutes runs your CNS clock higher than would 1.5 for 50 minutes, or 1.6 for 20 minutes.

I plan my dives so that my CNS clock is comfortably away from 100% of NOAA limit.
