I appologize for the picture quality here but it was taken from far away on a 14 dollar throwaway camera, but i think you'll still get the idea. This may have been mentioned here on scubaboard in the past, but I think it may be worth another mention.

My dad was in cuba last week and took this picture. Its a flying Zodiac. Wouldn't that be nice to avoid that nasty seasickness. :)

gives a whole new meaning to the term "Just flying"....I would a hell of a lot bigger kite for my boat..........

hello, I'd like to report a UFZ sighting please,
an unidentified flying zodiac, somewhere near cuba.

Maybe it's a communist plot to take over the world, or some CIA thing to get rid of Castro, either way I want one of those!

We saw one similar to this in West Palm Beach this weekend. A guy was flying around Peanut Island (near the Blue Heron Bridge). I don't think I'd be brave enough to venture out on one of those...this one looked like it was held together by duct tape!

I've seen similar aircaft fly around our area Steve.
They are ultralights. I've seen them with a tri-pod under carriage and floats, I would think the inflatable base would be a simple modification.

Check out this link:

Ultralights have a big following:

Most ultralight aircraft have very limited payload. (ie less than 500 lb or 225 kg) Not much room for dive gear.

MMMmm tuff decision, bring a buddy or my dive gear mmmmm! LOL
