I'm a Fish!
anyone have a most memorable experience underwater? I know it's hard to pick if you've been diving awhile...but here's some of mine:

during a trip to islamorada, I was fishing with a couple of friends pretty far off of shore in his 17 footer. in typical keys condition, the water was so clear you could see the sandy bottom, even in 70 feet of water...man I love that! anywho we did this thing where you cast out some bait as far as you can and reel it in from all directions. this attracts fish closer to your boat...well it worked damn good that day because we had attracted a huge school of dolphin (as in mahi mahi) hundreds of these things. we let our lines down and after a couple minutes none took the bait. so I told my friends, "if you want to eat tonight I better get down there"... since they love seafood, I despise it :eek:ut: sick...so I went down to about 30 feet, and I didn't even have to aim, good thing since I suck. they were everywhere! so I took one, than another after a breath and reload...it was awesome, I've never seen them while diving ever, and I never expected to see them in a school.

also, on my very first scuba dive, on our safety stop, two lone remoras swam by and stuck around for a bit. some of us laid out to try and get them on us, they investigated but never did. it was weird, I was looking for their partner in crime, heh.
