    Quick two tips

#1. Get your weight/ballast down to a minimum. Take weights off every dive until you're dialled in. This helps a lot. If you're having to use your BC inflator much at all you're likely over weighted. This makes buoyancy much more difficult. Much bigger bubble to manage. Much harder in surgy shore dives.

#2. For me, music helped a lot with my breathing pattern and relaxation. Playing some gentlish song in your head while diving may help you get your breathing under control. I used to do this by playing a song nearly to the end on my iPod before getting in the water. Its not really relevant to me anymore but it was for a year or so until I got it down reasonably good. Am not sure this tip works for anyone but me but I found it really helpful.

I think I have learned the most about buoyancy from reading the posts on this board and then enhancing the rhetoric by applying them to the next dive.
Seriously, there are a half of a dozen divers on this site that have given me the most amazing advice!
