Things that make you say "hmmm....."

Overheard at an LDS, where the manager was asked about the capacity of a steel tank with markings that were difficult to read:

Customer: What is the size of this tank? Looks like a 72 or an 80…

Manager: Yeah, but it's a high pressure tank. So that means it really holds around 95...

Nigel Tufnel: The numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven and...

Marty DiBergi: Oh, I see. And most amps go up to ten?

    Nigel Tufnel: Exactly.

Marty DiBergi: Does that mean it's louder? Is it any louder?

Nigel Tufnel: Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?

    Marty DiBergi: I don't know.

Nigel Tufnel: Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?

Marty DiBergi: Put it up to eleven.

Nigel Tufnel: Eleven. Exactly. One louder.

Marty DiBergi: Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?

Nigel Tufnel: [pause] These go to eleven.

Nah, he just saw the label on the tank neck, and implied that HP meant a greater capacity. And you can jam an LP or an HP tank, so the service pressure shouldn't change the capacity, right?

"you kept kickin me in the face, dude! Seriously, man."

Me- "now, whose fault is it that you followed directly behind me, where my kicking feet just happen to be, when were in 110 foot visibility open water?

The moral of the story: if you can, a little space does the diver good to move about. And if you can't put any space between you, follow a few feet to the back or side by side.
    It's dive o'clock somewhere...
