Is it acceptable if VIP sticker is hidden by tank boot? Only asking because company that shipped tanks placed sticker near bottom.

Don't put the boot on. Unless it's a single steel tank with a rounded bottom, boots are just something to snag, trap dirt, rust, mud, etc.. They do make nice snack bowls though if you line them with something.

Nice. I like the bowl idea. Tanks are compact neutral al80's with flat bottom.

If this is a online purchase the tank is empty. Any lds will want to do a visual before it is filled. Many lds will not accept any type of generic sticker that comes with online purchased tank. if there is no phone number, name of facility that did the inspection it will not be recognized.
we had one like this last week. Customer realized that it would have been less expensive to have purchased tank at lds. Tanks sold by lds are inspected and filled at no extra charge. It's called customer service, something that can be difficult to get via online.

Boots can help protect pool edges, boat decks, etc. Useful in at least some circumstances.

But, if you're going to be getting fills in multiple locations, taking the boot off repeatedly to view the sticker can become irksome.
