A Tip: Ladies, for putting on a wetsuit hood

Want those Farrah Fawcett locks after diving, with no pain for putting on a neoprene hood?

Take a long a bottle of conditioner (pantene is great)
    slather it on
and the hood slips on like butter

Plus, when you get out - no more crusty hair!!!

Would this just leave me with a slimey hood and greasy hair?

Well, I suppose if you're a wetsuit diver you could always slather it on your chest and arms ...

Not everyone who reads SB is looking to learn how best to use their new snorkel. Some are here just hoping to get the chance to tell someone else exactly what they can do with their new snorkel. While others are trying to sell their old snorkel. (gypsyjim)

    nope.

when the water gets in, it rinses it all out during the dive - don't put the whole bottle on - just a generous dollop!

And sorry guys, by all means. Make sure you do the sexy toss and flick after you've taken off the hood. Lipbalm before you dive too, to keep your puckers baby soft.

Love a dive buddy with baby soft lips.......

I'm not so sure this would work for me, tell me what you think. My hair is down about to my waist, I usually put it into a braid. Do you think it would rinse out enough that I wouldn't be super slimey?

    Penny,

Several thoughts raced through my head, but then I remembered that this is a PG rated board so I will hold my tongue.

Mine's mid-chest - and never had it slimey after..I used to bring a bottle for students - no slime either.

It gets rinsed pretty well during the dive.

I think I will need to give it a try then. It takes me a long time to get it brushed out even in fresh water. If this works for me (and I'm NOT slimey afterwards :11: , I will sing your praises after EVERY dive! )

I'm curious what perverted thoughts you managed to come up with on hair conditioner. Perhaps you could PM them to me? I promise not to be shocked! :11:

How about it's impact on the environment? I mean water rinses the hair conditioner right? So it stays in the water, right?
Anyway I have long, curly hair so in fact salted water makes wonders with them - it's better than any gel...
