Just for curiousity sake..which is your preference and/or main stomping ground?

Preference and "usual" are 2 different things.

I far prefer the sea to quarries so salt wins there

However all the water here is "cold" so it makes up 95% of my dives. Doesnt mean i dont LIKE warm clear water just i dont get the option.

Yes, what String said.

I prefer salt water ... there's just more life in the sea than in the lakes.

I do most of my diving in cold water ... not sure if it's my preference, it's just what we have around here ...

But when he does get a chance, get out of his way :D

For me - Lake Erie, Always Cold, Always Green, Always Fresh

I prefer warm, salt water, but were I live there ain't such waters so, with exception from vacations, I keep wet mostly in cold salt water (2/3) and now and then in cold freshwater (1/3)

I really like the Tropics. Nice and warm, sunny. And I like the Sea Creatures. But the downside is the travel costs big$. I have a lot of fun in the local lakes and shore/boat dives on the East Coast too. Now that I got a new drysuit I've opened a whole new world of cold water diving. I was just at the dive shop talking about diving Lake Ontario wrecks in the summer.

I prefer it warm, salty and clear but it is usually like my women: unsalted, unclear and bitterly cold! ohhh, wife is coming, gotta go!

You forgot the 5th option "Any water will do, just get me wet"
